WOBURN (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) — The Middlesex District Attorney's Office is investigating after a Marlborough police officer fatally shot a man while responding to a domestic disturbance.
Authorities say police responded to a Meadow Brook Road address at about 8 p.m. on Monday to assist in the removal of an unwanted person from a home.
The district attorney says responding officers were confronted by a man with a knife. A Marlborough police officer opened fired killing 22-year-old Bryce Coutinho.
The circumstances of the shooting incident remain under investigation.
The officer's name was not disclosed.
