LYNN (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – A vicious attack didn't stop a local store clerk from fighting back. Two men in masks and hoods burst in and attacked the man, hitting and pistol-whipping him.

It happened around 8:19 p.m. Friday at the D&M Mart Store at 126 Broad St. In this surveillance video, you can see one person walk into the store to make sure the coast is clear. Then two other suspects walk in. One points a gun at the clerks face and that is when the brutal beating begins.

Moments later, a woman walks in the store, scaring the thieves. They leave without getting any cash. Police are working to identify the suspects.

The clerk suffered a laceration to the side of his head, but was able to rip off the mask worn by one of the suspects during the altercation. He did have to get some stitches, but will be OK.

At the time of the robbery, one of the suspects was wearing a red jacket and a black hoodie. This suspect was armed with a handgun. A third suspect entered the store prior to the robbery and acted as a lookout. The other suspect was wearing a black jacket and a black hoodie.
