SALEM (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – The family of a teenager killed in a drunk driving crash is outraged after learning the driver's sentence.
Angelique Griffin was sentenced to two years in jail and six months house arrest for the crash that killed 19-year-old Dillon Renard.
It happened five months ago. Renard was the passanger when Griffin slammed into a flatbed tow truck. She suffered minor injuries, but Renard was killed.
His family says they never agreed to the plea deal and are devastated by the outcome.
Griffin pled guilty of vehicular homicide and will have her license suspended for 15 years.
With the time she has already served, she could be eligible for parole as early as June.
