Cops: Amber Alert canceled

Posted: Updated:

Authorities in eastern New York and western Connecticut have canceled an Amber Alert for a father they say took his child from daycare after a physical altercation with the boy's mother.

Police arrested Frederick McCluskey, 27, and recovered his 4-and-a-half year-old son, also named Frederick. The boy was unharmed, the AP reported.

Cops said McCluskey abducted his son just before 9 a.m. Friday in the Ulster County town of Marlboro, N.Y.
