Study Shows Getting Buff Is New Trend Among Teens

Posted: Updated:

A recent study out of the University of Minnesota suggests getting buff is a new trend among teenagers.

According to the study, 90 percent of boys surveyed and 81 percent of girls surveyed were weightlifting to build muscles.

The study also found 5 percent of teens increased muscle strength by using steroids.

Researchers say the reason behind the findings is that kids are constantly seeing actors and athletes with muscular bodies.

You can read more about the study on the University of Minnesota website.
