An activist group called "Stop the Trauma on People" gathered to paint another cross to represent the most recent murder victim in Camden Monday.
Organizers say they plant the crosses for the living.
Camden reached its 59th homicide of the year last week.
Last week, a city councilman wanted the nearly five dozen crosses removed, saying they create a negative image about the city.
The crosses, however, have been allowed to stay.
Not the prettiest Friday, but we're ready for a great weekend. Expect scattered showers and thunderstorms throughout the day. After an early high in the upper sixties, temperatures fall & winds pick up out of the chillier northwest. Right now the Memorial Day Weekend looks sunny and cool with highs in the low to mid 60s on Saturday, in the 70s Sunday & Monday. Cooler temps at the shore.
