Kevin Ullery, 26, remains behind bars on $3 million bail after his arrest. He is charged with five counts of aggravated possession of child pornography.
Ullery was arrested Friday in his Plainfield home where he lives with his parents. The arrest came after a three month undercover investigation into file sharing of child pornography by the Will County High Tech crimes unit.
Sources tell Fox 32 News that they found five movies depicting child pornography on Ullery's computer. After his arrest, Ullery allegedly confessed to additional crimes.
Sources say Ullery, who worked at this Bolingbrook Best Buy on the Geek Squad, met a 14-year-old nearly a year ago in the store. Ullery is expected to be charged with felony grooming stemming from his relationship with the teen.
"That's upsetting, of course, I don't blame it on the store, but that's certainly a concern," says Anthony Hirschel.
Additional charges alleging sexual exploitation of a child are also expected stemming from Ullery's relationship with three other teenage boys.
Ullery is also under investigation for a relationship with a teenage boy in North Carolina who he met over the internet playing X-Box live.
A Microsoft spokesperson told Fox 32 "We believe parents are the first line of defense when children go on line..." adding, "Xbox Live has robust Family Settings that allow parents to decide what information their children can share...."
One parent told us it's important to talk to your children about internet safety.
"Well all you can do is educate your children about people who are not thinking about their best interest or have their best interest at heart," says Tonya Seals.
Fox 32 News tried to reach Ullery's parents, but they were unavailable. Best Buy also did not respond to our request for comment. Ullery's case is expected to be presented to a Will County Grand Jury in the coming weeks.
