CAPE MAY COUNTY, N.J. -

Instigators in Cape May County are working to get dozens of stolen items back to their rightful owners after two suspects allegedly stole from 50 cars and four homes.

On Tuesday, police announced they had arrested two men, Christopher Mander and Vincent Laracombe, in connection to the thefts.

Police say the burglaries occurred across the county, with the pair working as a team to target valuables left inside of vehicles.

The suspects would allegedly look at cars that were unlocked or if they found something of value inside a vehicle, they would break in, police said.

Investigators say the two struck in the middle of the night, looking for items they could sell to fuel a drug habit.
