Toys for Tots needs big help to reach big goal

Posted: Updated:
ATLANTA -

Christmas is a month away and that means the Toys for Tots drive is in full swing. FOX 5 teams up each year with the U.S. Marines for the campaign and this year the organization has a big goal.

Last year over 350,000 kids knew someone cared. They opened up a gift on Christmas Day thanks to Toys for Tots. But the organization says the need is even greater this year.

The organization's goal for this Christmas season is to collect over 750,000 gifts. So far, only 35,000 gifts have been collected.

Toys for Tots is distributing toys every weekend from now until Christmas to ensure every child on their list has a present to unwrap.
