Victims Of Fatal Burlington County Fire Identified

Posted: Updated:
BURLINGTON COUNTY, N.J. -

The Burlington County Prosecutor's Office has released the names of the two victims of a deadly fire over the weekend in Bordentown.

According to Prosecutor Robert D. Bernardi, 66-year-old Katherine Jernegan and 63-year-old Joseph Coppola were found dead Sunday by a relative who had come to visit the couple in their apartment at 10 West Street.

The medical examiner has ruled their deaths as accidental and were the result of smoke and soot inhalation.

Investigators say the fire was contained to the couple's unit and did not spread to other areas of the building.

The Burlington County Prosecutor says there is no suspicion of foul play.
