Detroit firefighter documentary 'BURN' to open in theaters Dec. 7

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WJBK) -- It's a powerful documentary that follows the daily rigors of Detroit firefighters. Now, you can see it in theaters.
Beginning Dec. 7, BURN will show exclusively at AMC Livonia 20 and AMC Forum 30 in Sterling Heights. The film gives an inside look at the battles Detroit firefighters face on a daily basis.
The film was produced by Apostle partners Denis Leary and Jim Serpico and directed by Tom Putnam and Detroit-native Brenna Sanchez. It previously premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City, where it received the festival's Audience Award.
A portion of the film's proceeds go towards the purchase of needed gear for DFD.
