Blue Angels Help Santa Deliver Gifts For Sandy Victims

MCGUIRE AFB, N.J. -

Santa is trading in his sleigh for a military airplane.

He loaded tens of thousands of toys into a Blue Angels support plane and headed to New Jersey.

The toys were donated through the "Toys for Tots" program. They were given to children affected by Hurricane Sandy.

"Families still want to have a holiday regardless of where they're staying -- whether they're in a hotel room, or whether they're couch surfing with family and friends, they still want to have a holiday," said Tara Maffei, United Way Of Monmouth County. "So, this is really going to help us to provide that holiday to people."

In addition to helping families, Toys for Tots is assisting local charities in New York and New Jersey collect Christmas gifts.

An armed deli robbery is caught on camera. Two brazen gunmen held up the store owner with the man's kids right nearby. It's scary enough having armed gunmen storm your business.
