WESTFIELD (AP) - Police are investigating the death of an
unidentified woman whose body was found near railroad tracks in Westfield.
The Westfield News reports a man who works near the scene called police at
12:30 p.m. Monday to say he had found what appeared to be a body while he was
taking a walk during his lunch break.
Police said the body was found between a commercial building on Lockhouse
Road and the track. They said the woman, who appeared to be in her 70s, had
been dead for several hours, if not for days.
