41 members of violent gang indicted in Brooklyn

Posted: Updated:

The Brooklyn district attorney's office says 41 members of a violent gang have been indicted.

A video shows one of the gang members brazenly walking down a street with a shotgun in his hand.

The 68-count indictment includes charges of murder, attempted murder, conspiracy, robbery and burglary.

Prosecutors say the highly organized gang, called TBO, held weekly meetings to discuss its illegal activities.

Detectives friended gang members on Facebook to track their actions.

The gang started in Bushwick. Its tentacles also extended to Coney Island and Brownsville.

The crimes occurred between November 2010 and September of this year.
