Brandeis student believed to be bitten by a coyote

WALTHAM (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) Officials at Brandeis University are warning students about a recent animal attack on campus.

In an e-mail to the Brandeis community, officials say that university police received a report of a student being bitten by an animal, possibly a coyote, near Ziv Quad and the Shapiro Campus Center.

The student is undergoing medical treatment for their injuries.

Officials are warning anyone on campus to report sightings of any animal that may present a safety concern to university police.

The Waltham Patch reports that Waltham residents have recently taken to Twitter to discuss sightings of a pack of coyotes in the Forest Street area.
