EXETER, N.H. (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) — Four New Hampshire middle school students suffered minor injuries when the bus they were riding on collided with two other vehicles on Tuesday morning.

Police and fire crews in Exeter, N.H. responded to Portsmouth Avenue near Allen Street around 6:49 a.m. after receiving reports of a multi-vehicle accident involving a First Student school bus.

First responders found one driver trapped inside his vehicle with serious injuries. Emergency crews had to use the Jaws of Life to remove the victim from the car.

Seven people, including the four students who were on the bus, were transported to Exeter Hospital. The driver and the passenger of the van were transported with minor injuries, and the occupant of the third vehicle was transported with serious injuries.

The bus driver was not transported from the scene.

Superintendent Michael Morgan says the students were taken to the hospital as a precaution. He said he believed a car was pulling out on Portsmouth Avenue when it collided with the bus.
