NORTH ATTLEBOROUGH (AP) - A 17-year-old North Attleborough High
School student who allegedly threatened to "shoot up" the school has
been ordered held without bail.
Patrick Skrabec pleaded not guilty at his arraignment on Monday in Attleboro
District Court on a charge of making a threat causing the disruption of school.
A dangerousness hearing has been scheduled for Thursday.
The teen's lawyer, Maria Deaton, told the Sun Chronicle of Attleborough that the incident was
being "blown out of proportion," and that her client is a good kid
who has never before been in trouble.
Skrabec allegedly told police he made a comment about shooting up the school
to other students in his math class last Tuesday.
The student told police he was joking and he had no access to guns.
