Shooting victim gets special gifts

DETROIT, Mich. (WJBK) --Santa Claus is still on his way but Scott Bradley started the gift giving a day early. 

He owns Robinson Furniture in Detroit.  He saw the story of Coreene Adams and her son Kavon Coleman.  According to police, Kavon was shot in August for his pricey pair of Air Jordan sneakers.  The gunman is still on the loose as Kavon is left with difficulties walking after being injured.  Both Kavon and his mother lost their jobs and now they say their house is empty with no furniture.

"I don't know any of these people and just out of the kindness of their heart they were willing to do this because they heard of our story," says Coreene Adams.

Bradley and his son, Dillion, came to the rescue.  Robinson Furniture delivering box springs for mattresses upstairs and a living room and dinette set."

"It breaks my heart.  I come into the house and I know she needs heat and she needs water.  I wish there was more I could do.  This little bit that I did is just a little.  She needs a lot more says," Scott Bradley of Robinson Furniture.

So this is Christmas for Coreene, Kavon and his siblings.  A place to sit and relax and count their blessings.
