Beverly Hills couple deliver "Bed and Bread" to Metro Detroit

Posted: Updated:

You've heard the phrase it's better to give than to receive.

Well, that's become a Christmas tradition for Gerri and Mike Buckles of Beverly Hills.

On this Christmas Eve, the Buckles loaded up two pickup trucks with more than 550 lbs. worth of bagged gifts for men and women across the area.

The trucks are part of the Salvation Army's Bed and Bread Club program.

The bags contain items like toiletries, small toys, books - and even stuffed animals.

Fox 2's Ryan Ermanni caught up with the charitable couple Monday. Watch his full report by clicking on the video player.
