From FOX 25 meteorologist Jon Bellemore
Light snow and rain in the
Boston area turns to all rain overnight Wednesday while the snow continues to
stick west of 495 through early Thursday morning.
Eventually all of central and western Massachusetts will turn to rain as warmer
air enters the region.
Snow totals will be a dusting in Boston before turning to rain with greater
amounts of up to 6 to 9 inches in Central and Western Mass.
The wind will be howling overnight; steady at 15 to 30 mph with gusts up to 60
mph, especially on the coast and islands.
Temperatures overnight will be fairly steady in the mid to upper 30s and then
creep into the mid- 40s Thursday afternoon. The strongest wind is forecast for
early in the morning (3 a.m. to 8 a.m.) and has potential to cause minor
damage.
Expect moderate rain early tomorrow morning to taper off slightly during the
afternoon. It will become less windy after 12 p.m. Thursday.
Friday will be very cold with a high near 30 degrees, but at least we'll see
some sunshine.
