NJ state trooper injured on Turnpike

A New Jersey State Police trooper was injured in an accident on the NJ Turnpike on Friday morning.

It happened at about 8:20 a.m. at mile post 113.6 in Secaucus.  The trooper's car reportedly  overturned in the accident.

The trooper was conscious, but was being flown to a hospital via a helicopter.  The trooper's condition was unknown.

Police say that the cause of the accident is under investigation but it appears the trooper's car was the only one involved in the crash.
