BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) – Whitey Bulger's attorneys are asking for another week to file documents supporting their claim that Bulger had immunity from a former U.S. attorney during his alleged crime spree in the 1990s, according to the Boston Herald.
The paper says Bulger's attorney was due to present his argument to a federal judge by this Friday, But now they want another week.
Bulger is 83 years old. He is facing federal charges in 19 murders. His team has previously said former U.S. Attorney Jeremiah O'Sullivan granted Bulger immunity in exchange for information which should keep him from facing those charges.
