SANDWICH (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) Sandwich Police plan to charge 35 teens after breaking up an underage drinking party on New Year's Eve.

The Cape Cod Times reports that an officer was driving in the area of Cotuit Road at about 11 p.m. Monday when he witnessed two teen boys running down the middle of the road. A short time later, the officer found a large party at 284 Cotuit Road.

Sandwich Police say they found intoxicated teens between the ages of 17 and 19 inside the home along with a large amount of alcohol.

All of the attendees were released to their parents. They will receive a summons to appear in court on the charge of being a minor in possession of alcohol.

The 19-year-old believed to be responsible for the party is also charged with being a keeper of a disorderly house. Police say the homeowners were not home at the time of the party. They believe the homeowners were not aware a party was taking place.
