A parody of "Les Misérables" featuring Boston University students looking for jobs in a tough job market is hot on the web.

The video was created and posted by SEMIproductions and features  Boston University students struggling to find jobs in a tough economy set to the score of the film.

According to the Boston Globe, the director of the trailer, senior Mike Irving, said it was created as a commentary on what life after graduation is like.

The Globe reports that Irving was approached with the idea by a friend, Kevin Wang, who graduated last semester.

Irving told the Globe that the trailer took about nine hours to shoot and edit.

It has more than 50,000 views since being posted on Dec. 23.
