House fire in Borough Park

NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

Firefighters battled large flames in a burning house in Borough Park, Brooklyn Friday morning.

The fire was reported at about 6:30 a.m. in the basement of the three-story home on 42nd Street near 10th Avenue, according to fire officials.

SkyFoxHD was over the inferno where half a dozen firefighters could be seen on the building's roof.

The roof and top floor appeared to have been destroyed by the flames.   Debris could be seen falling from the building onto a lot nearby.

Four firefighters and one civilian suffered minor injuries, reported the Associated Press.

The flames were brought under control at about 8:25 a.m.
