Runners compete in 19th Annual Hispanic Games

NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

Many of the premier high school track and field athletes from the East Coast competed in the 19th annual Hispanic Games at the Armory's Track and Field Center in Washington Heights Saturday morning. 

Over 6,000 athletes and over 300 high schools participated in the two day event at the Armory located on Fort Washington Avenue between 168th and 169th Streets. 

Some of the highly anticipated boys' and girls' track and field runners are vying for berths in the 106th Millrose Games in February. 

The Hispanic Games is one of the biggest high school track meets in the country.
