A man approached a young girl and fondled her in the Little Village neighborhood Saturday afternoon.
The 11-year-old girl was walking with her 3-year-old sibling about 1:15 p.m. Saturday in the 3000 block of South Millard Avenue, according to an alert from Chicago Police.
The man walked up to the girl from behind, pulled down her pants and fondled her buttocks, the alert said. The girl screamed and the man fled.
The man is described as Hispanic, between 25 and 35 years old, 5-foot-4 to 5-foot-6, 180-200 pounds, with moles on his face, dark colored wavy hair and a medium complexion, the alert said. He was wearing a blue baseball cap with lettering, a blue button-up coat and jeans.
Police are warning parents to not let children walk alone and to call 911 to report any suspicious people in the neighborhood.
Anyone with information should call the Special Investigations Unit at (312) 492-3810.
