
MIDDLEBORO (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – Two people are dead and two people are injured following a crash that occurred on Route 28 in Middleboro Tuesday afternoon.
Police responded to the three-vehicle crash, which occurred in front of Kelly's Tire on West Grove Street, just before 1 p.m., reports the Enterprise News.
Police shut down one side of I-495 while a helicopter landed to pick up one of the injured victims. The victim, believed to be an 80-year-old woman with leg and rib injuries, was transported to a Boston hospital.
According to the newspaper, police said another victim was transported to Tobey Hospital in Wareham and two people were transported to Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton.
Police have not released the names of the victims.
