DETROIT (WJBK) -- Crews have contained a two-alarm fire inside a commercial warehouse on the city's southwest side.

The fire broke out during the early morning hours Wednesday at the Kamps Pallet Division near I-75 and Springwells Street, FOX 2's Roop Raj reports.

Raj says the building contained thousands of wood pallets. Firewalls inside helped keep the fire from swallowing all of them. No injuries were reported.

Raj says the multi-state business, which provides pallets to local auto suppliers, employs 600 people nationwide and around 50 people in Detroit. Kevin Givens, a driver for Kamps, says the building had been broken into a number of times over the past few weeks.

"This is how I make a living. I don't know what's going to happen now," said Givens.

Fire officials confirm that a door was pried open in the back of the building, but they are not commenting on the cause of the fire at this time.
