Police: Man had 12 guns, high-capacity magazines in apartment

WORCESTER, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Police in Worcester say a man faces dozens of charges after officers found a cache of illegal guns, high-capacity magazines and ammunition in his apartment Tuesday.

Police were called to the 66 Indiana Street home of Jonathan Peters, 29, for the report of domestic stalking.

When officers arrived they said they found five rifles, five handguns, one shotgun, one sawed-off shotgun and a dozen high-capacity magazines as well as ammunition in his possession.

Police said Peters did not have a license to carry firearms in Massachusetts.

He was charged with 10 counts of improperly storing a firearm, one count of stalking, 13 counts of possession of a large-capacity weapon or feeding device, 12 counts of possession of firearm/ammunition without an FID card, 12 counts of carrying a firearm without a license, one count of possession of a sawed-off shotgun and one count of possession of ammunition without an FID card.

An investigation is ongoing.
