VAN BUREN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WJBK) -- A married southeast Michigan teacher busted for inappropriate behavior with a 15-year-old student will avoid jail after admitting to charges.

Andrea Brennan, 37, was sentenced to five years probation this week and must register as a sex offender after she admitted to sending the male student a photo of 'a significant portion of her breast' and supplying him with alcohol.

As part of her plea deal, the former Van Buren Twp. middle school teacher pleaded guilty to using a computer to commit a crime. In exchange, prosecutors dropped charges of providing sexually explicit material and furnishing a minor with alcohol, according to the Belleville View.

It was back in July when police allegedly caught Brennan drinking in a her car with the teenage boy, who was never one of her students.

In addition to five years probation, Brennan is not allowed to have unsupervised contact with anyone aged 16 or younger.
