DETROIT (AP) -- Police say they found a 4-month-old boy dead at a Detroit home and took a man into custody there following a scuffle that left three officers with minor injuries.

The department says officers were called to the home on the city's east side Wednesday afternoon to investigate a report of an unresponsive child.

Police didn't indicate whether the man was related to the child. The Wayne County medical examiner's office was called to determine cause of death.

Details of the injuries to the officers weren't released, but they were described as non-life-threatening.
