Testimony Of Murder Victim's Family To Be Considered By Parole Board

Posted: Updated:
HARRISBURG, Pa. -

The Pennsylvania Parole Board announced on Tuesday that it will consider testimony from the family of a murder victim before ruling whether to release a former college professor from prison.

Rafael Robb pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter in the death of his wife, Ellen, in 2006.

Robb was sentenced to between 5 and 10-years in prison, but could be released on parole as early as next Monday.

Ellen Robb's brother, Gary Gregory, says Robb told reporters on Tuesday that Robb shouldn't be allowed out of prison.

The decision to release Robb on parole came without a hearing from Ellen Robb's family.

Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Vetri-Ferman said last week that the state acted illegally by not allowing the victim's family to testify at the parole hearings.
