WOBURN (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – A Woburn business that specializes in the manufacturing of photonic components and systems, including infrared detectors and other optical devices, was raided by federal agents on Wednesday.

U.S. Attorney Christina Sperling told FOX 25 that federal agents executed a search warrant at Agiltron Incorporated located at 15 Presidential Way around 8 a.m.

Sperling said the search is not a threat to the public.

Federal agents are gathering evidence and should complete the search by the end of the day.

Sperling said that the search warrant is sealed and that information regarding the raid will not be made public for "a while." However, she did say that the IRS is not involved.
