MANCHESTER, N.H. (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – A 26-year-old Manchester woman was reportedly kidnapped outside her South Elm Street home by two men who later abandoned her when they thought police were looking for them.

The woman told police that she had arrived at her home after work around 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. When she left her car, she went around to the passenger side to get her purse and was grabbed by the men.

They then brought her to her apartment building, but were not able to get in because the woman didn't have a key to the deadbolt. Police said the men then brought the woman back to their vehicle and forced her into the back seat.

According to police, the men forced the woman to call her boyfriend and ask for cash. When the boyfriend received the call, he immediately called police.

Police said the men drove around waiting for an opportunity to exchange the woman for money, but later became concerned that police may have been called. They ended up leaving her on Maryland Avenue near New York Avenue, unharmed.

Police were searching for a dark SUV with tan interior. The male driver was described as a Hispanic male in his 20s, about 250 pounds wearing jeans and a hooded top.

The suspect male is described as a Hispanic male in his 20s with a thin build, wearing jeans and a jacket with red sleeves. He also wore red and gray low top Nike sneakers.

The suspects told the victim they had a gun, but she told police she never saw it.

Anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to contact the Manchester Police Department at 668-8711.
