BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) -- State police have reduced the speed limit on the Western End of the Mass. Turnpike following a series of minor crashes.

Mass. State Police said heavy snow was falling in the area and that the crashes were minor.

The speed limit from Interchange 1 to Interchange 6 was reduced to 40 mph.

Police have urged drivers to slow down and leave extra space between themselves and the cars ahead of them.
