BOSTON (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) -- Boston police say solar glare may be to blame for a crash that injured two 9th graders walking to school Monday morning.
The incident occurred near the John D. O'Bryant School of Math and Science on Malcolm X Boulevard in Roxbury.
Police said the driver of the sedan, a 17-year-old male, may have been blinded by solar glare when he hit the two girls just before 8 a.m.
SKYFOX was over the scene and showed the car had stopped in the middle of the intersection. Its windshield was smashed on the driver's side.
One girl was taken to Boston Medical Center. The other was taken to Boston Children's Hospital. There is no word on their condition at this time.
Police said the teen had not been charged. An investigation is ongoing.
