Murder suspect lunges toward victim’s family in court

Posted: Updated:

BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) – A man accused of killing his wife and hiding her body inside his apartment attempted to attack her relatives in court Monday morning.

According to the Middlesex County District Attorney's office, Kyle Alleyne walked into a Middlesex Superior Courtroom and jumped over a railing toward the family of his deceased wife. Alleyne knocked over some boxes and made some contact with family members before being subdued by a court officer.

No one was injured and the trial resumed an hour later.

Prosecutors say Alleyne killed his wife, Heather, after finding out her newborn second child was fathered by an ex-boyfriend in August 2010. They said he wrapped her body in trash bags and put it in a sleeping bag.

Alleyne was arrested in Texas trying to come back into the U.S. from Mexico.

He is charged with first-degree murder.
