
ASHBURNHAM, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Police in Ashburnham said the driver of a car was severely injured after a crash on Route 12 Monday afternoon.
When emergency crews arrived, the driver of the 2003 Oldsmobile Alero, identified as Ronald Bourque, of Ashburnham, was trapped behind the wheel.
Crews worked to remove Bourque and a medical helicopter was called to the scene. Officials said Bourque went into cardiac arrest and was rushed to Heywood Hospital by ambulance instead. Officials said he was revived at the hospital.
The extent of Bourque's injuries was not immediately known.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
