LITCHFIELD (MyFoxBoston.com) – A New Hampshire man was arrested for allegedly assaulting a 4-month-old baby last month.
Matthew Northrup, of Nashua, is charged with three counts of second-degree assault. He was held on $100,000 cash bail and is set to be arraigned Tuesday.
Litchfield police said they received a call Thursday from the Division of Children Youth and Family about a 4-month-old being brought to Elliot Hospital and then transferred to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center for serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. After an investigation, Litchfield police arrested Northrup.
Second-degree assault is punishable by three and a half to seven years if convicted, police said.
