Grenade found during police search of Cape apartment
DENNIS PORT, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Dennis police said officers found a hand grenade during a search of an apartment Wednesday morning.
Police said they were serving a search warrant at Harborside Arms Apartments at 212 Upper County Road when the military-style M-67 grenade was found. Police said the search warrant was the culmination of a several-month investigation into suspected drug dealing in the building.
The Massachusetts State Police bomb unit was called to the scene and worked to remove the device.
Kathleen Caussey, 58, the sole occupant of the apartment at the time, was placed under arrest for possession of a Class B Controlled Substance - Oxycodone. Caussey will be arraigned in Orleans District Court Wednesday afternoon.
