FRAMINGHAM ( A 28-year-old Framingham man has been found guilty in the 2010 stabbing death of his wife.

A Middlesex Superior Court jury found Kyle Alleyne guilty on first degree murder and assault and battery charges after a 12-day trial.

Alleyne was sentenced to life in prison without the eligibility for parole in his wife's death.

Police say 19-year-old Heather Alleyne was found dead inside the couple's Worcester Road apartment on Aug. 9, 2010 after her mother called police and asked them to check in on her. Investigators saw what they call obvious signs of a struggle inside of the bedroom.

An autopsy revealed Heather died from sharp force wounds to her neck, torso, and extremities. Investigators believe Heather was stabbed by her husband sometime after Aug. 4.
Alleyne reportedly fled Framingham on Aug. 7. He was arrested a week later in Laredo, Texas.
