WORCESTER, Mass. (AP) - A Worcester man who stole dozens of firearms from the Hudson gun store he managed has been sentenced to seven years in federal prison.

The Boston Globe ( reports that Kevin William Burke was also ordered Wednesday to pay almost $42,000 in restitution. He pleaded guilty last May to 16 counts of firearm theft from a licensed dealer.

Prosecutors say he may have stolen more than 100 guns from K&R Target Sports between December 2009 and April 2010. He resold them to other gun dealers and private citizens.

Prosecutors say Burke ran the store while the owner was in Florida. They say he concealed the thefts by making false entries in company's records. He also had a bank account through which more than $65,000 in unexplained income passed.
