BOSTON(MyFoxBoston.com) -- A suspect, who was stopped by a state trooper on Route 1southbound near the CANA Tunnel in Boston, nearly hit the trooper when he spedaway from the scene.
While the trooper was outside his trooper, the suspect's vehicle, a 2004Lincoln Towncar, suddenly pulled away scraping the side of the trooper'scruiser. The trooper was not injured.
The trooper pursued the suspect's vehicle along Storrow Drive into the area ofBeacon Street and Gloucester Street in Boston. The suspect then abandoned thevehicle and fled on foot, possibly attempting to break into several homes nearMarlborough Street in Boston.
The suspect has not been located, but state police patrols and K9 unitssearched the area extensively with the assistance of Boston Police.
The investigation is ongoing.
