Mass. State Police say they have not decided whether or not to bring charges against a bus driver in a Saturday night crash that injured over 30 people.
PHILADELPHIA, PA (MyFoxBoston.com) The mother of a 16-year-old who was critically injured in a Feb. 2 bus crash on Soldier's Field Road has filed a lawsuit in the incident.
Matthew Cruz was one of 42 people onboard a Calvary Coach bus returning to Pennsylvania after a visit to Harvard University when the bus slammed into an overpass. Investigators say the bus was overheight.
Thirty four people were injured in the crash, including Cruz who suffered life-threatening injuries.
Philly.com reported on Friday that Cruz's mother has filed a lawsuit against Calvary Coach, company owner Raymond Talmadge, and the bus driver Samuel J. Jackson.
Mass. State Police claim Jackson, who was uninjured, "failed to heed signs" warning of the height limit. There is currently no word on any charges in the crash.
