The young victim told police he had the light when he was crossing the intersection of 78th Street and Fourth Avenue in Bay Ridge around 8:00 p.m., but a driver hit him and fled the scene heading southbound on Fourth Avenue.

The unidentified victim was taken by EMS to Lutheran Hospital where he is listed in serious condition.

Police told the New York Post an empty 2002 Audi with front damage was found shortly after the incident on 93rd Street near Fourth Avenue.
