PHILADELPHIA -
A serial bank robber connected to several Philadelphia area bank robberies hit yet another bank in the city's Roxborough neighborhood Sunday.
The robbery occurred shortly after 12 p.m. at the TD Bank branch on the 5500 block of Ridge Avenue.
Members of the Philadelphia Police Department and the FBI say the suspect entered the bank and passed a teller a note that demanded money. The man, police say, left the area on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Investigators believe the man was involved in the attempted robbery of this same bank on Thursday. In that incident, police say the man handed a teller a threatening note but ran out of the bank after an unsuccessful attempt at obtaining cash.
Police believe the man also robbed a Sovereign Bank branch on Belmont Avenue Thursday.
Police and members of the FBI believe the man is also connected to a February 12 robbery at a TD Bank in Haverford and a February 2 robbery at a Citizens Bank in Bala Cynwyd.
The man is considered to be armed and dangerous
If you have any information regarding the robberies, you're asked to call the FBI at 215-418-4000 or the Philadelphia Police Department, 215-686-TIPS (8477).
Police say there may be a reward for information leading to the man's capture.
