Mich. gas prices up another 10 cents from last week

Posted: Updated:
SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WJBK) -

Michigan's gasoline prices have risen roughly 10 cents during the past week to a statewide average of about $3.86 per gallon, according to GasBuddy.com.

The gasoline price website said Monday the average is about 46 cents per gallon more than last year at this time and nearly 61 cents per gallon more than just a month ago.

"The steady climb of retail gas prices is likely to continue following double-digit increases in wholesale prices with fuel production tightening in the majority of the country's refineries," said GasBuddy.com Senior Petroleum Analyst Gregg Laskoski.
