Six students were injured after their school bus swerved off a road in Hamilton Township Monday.
School officials at St. Gregory the Great Academy say the bus was attempting to avoid hitting a deer.
The school says the students were taken to the hospital with minor injuries and their parents have been notified.
The crash happened in the area of Edgebrook Road and Merrick Road, a rural area of Mercer County.
In a message posted on the school's blog, the school said the principal and the parents were able to immediately go to the hospital to visit both the students and the bus driver.
"Thanks to everyone for their messages of support and prayers for the children that were riding in the school bus that had the accident this afternoon," the message read.
