20 NYC schools are chosen for computer curriculum

NEW YORK (AP) - Twenty New York City schools have been chosen for a pilot program designed to help students prepare for the technology sector.

About 1,000 middle school and high school students are expected to participate next fall.

The schools will offer a computer science and software engineering curriculum.

The announcement was made Monday at the High School of Telecommunication Arts and Technology in Brooklyn. It's 1 of the selected schools.
